Girls/Womens football has not yet kicked-off in our area and it is our goal this season to change that.
Working with Somerset FA and all local Junior, Primary and Secondary schools we are keen to start and develop Girls' football at our Club and our aim is to have our first Girls' teams up and running ready for the start of the 2009/10 season.
U7s, 8s, 9s and 10s girls (school years 2, 3, 4 and 5)have traditionally joined in with boys to play mixed mini-soccer football but we would rather have enough girls at these ages for girls to have there own teams.
From U11s upwards age groupings are::
U11s and U12s (school years 6 & 7)
U13s and U14s (school years 8 & 9)
U15s and U16s (school years 10 & 11)
So girls wanting to give football a try, or who play football at school and would like to play and develop your football at a Club, then we'd love to hear from you.
COACHES - Also, we very keen for our girls teams to be run by female coaches so we would also love to hear from girls/ladies aged 17 years or over who would like to get invloved in coaching girls football. If you're already qualified that's great but if not don't worry because we'll help you of course and we'll support you in obtaining the FA Level 1 and Level 2 coaching qualifications.

This really is a chance to be part of history by playing in Midsomer Norton Football Club's first ever girls' team.
Remember, there will only ever be one "first ever season" and only one "first ever Girls' team".
How qualified/capable is your football team's registered first aider?
Qualified and fully capable
Has done some basic training but is hardly qualified. It's just to meet regulations really.
Don't have a registered first aider - we blag it!
Don't officially need a registered first aider
Don't even know who our first aider is!
